Great Tomato Links

Post  timwardell on 5/21/2010, 7:48 am

Hey SFG'ers and Tomato Lovers...

I discovered these 2 links while answering a question on another thread and I wanted to share them.

http://www.ext.colostate.edu/pubs/garden/02949.html
This is a great and fairly comprehensive list of tomato problems from Colorado State University that includes detailed descriptions, causes, treatments and photos!

http://www.growingproduce.com/production/cropprotection/?storyid=1187
There's a new problem that has been affecting tomatoes since 2006 called Tomato Purple Leaf Disorder. This web site tells you all about it and even includes a link to video.

I heard Neil Sperry talking about tomatoes in Texas on the radio this morning. Looks like out here in the oilpatch area of west tx and southeast NM we can do well with the smaller variety tomatoes, but the big ones will burn up before they are ready. Such neat information from so many good sources!
