Do you prune eggplant?

Post  Blackrose on 5/24/2010, 12:19 am

I have a beautiful eggplant in my garden and I was wondering, does it need any kind of pruning? Do I pinch off suckers like on a tomato?

Here's a picture of what I mean. It's a little blurry, but you'll get the idea.

I did not prune my egg plants that last few years I had them. They grow to be pretty big plants, so be warned. Enjoy your plants.
