green bean harvest

Post  Josh on 6/14/2010, 4:51 pm

Picked pole beans today. I picked almost 2 gallon size containers full from 8 plants. Also picked a cabbage.

Love your bean arbor. What kind of green beans did you plant?

Josh, there is a structure on the upper left side of the photo - what is it? It looks very intriguing.

WTG, Josh! Fantastic job. Thanks for sharing your success with us.

Love the arbor you have for the beans. Like Martha, I am also wondering what the structure is that can be seen in the background of your photo (upper left side)

Thanks everyone!
ander217 the pole beans are State Half Runner.

Martha & Nurse Grams, it's a wooden thing like a hanging basket,my dad made it and it has a flower pot sitting in it. My mom found a old one that was falling apart at a rummage sale and she bought it for 50 cents and my dad used it for a pattern, its made out of left over pieces of wood.

Ah yes ... perspective makes all the difference. Thanks for the second photo, now I can clearly see what portion is showing in the first picture. You and your Mom are blessed to have such a creative, willing, and able craftsman as your Dad.
