Hi Ya'll been gone

Post  Ha-v-v on 6/16/2010, 8:15 am

Hi folks,
I was gone for a couple weeks and just getting back home yesterday. Its amazing how much the garden grows if someone will just water it !! My plants are huge, there are some that arent growing due to lack of sun I think from some of those other bushed out plants growing. I will take them and move them to a place where they get more sun. Lots and lots of weeds in the walk ways (ugh a rama) but the tiller will take care of that. I have lots of seedlings to plant, mostly beans and things like that. My husband watered faithfully and then removed about 12 little caterpillars from my radishes, I wish I had bought the dipel dust when I saw it at the feed store, my husband could have used that. Came home on for our 19th wedding anniversary and that was the best present I could ever have received. This precious man took care of everything while I was gone, his 3 sons at home, our one son in town and our grown daughter and grands on the other side of town and my garden. I am a blessed woman. I have to say the success with SFG is fantastic compared to what my row garden would have been last year. I have tomatoes and bells coming in, the herbs are bushes I think they grew a foot while I was gone. I will post before I left pics and when I got home pics later. So glad I found Mel and SFG !!! OHHH and I took with me the lumber for a 2x8 box and seedlings to plant, peat moss and vermiculite. My cousin, her daughter and I built that box for their concrete bbq area. They took pics and Im hoping they join here too.
Its nice to be home and back in the garden

We missed you, too, Ha-v-v. Glad you're back.

Sounds as though your dear husband has earned another 19 years of your company. I have a keeper, too, and I agree we are blessed.

I missed you too dangit I wondered if you had gone on a speaking sabbatical, as I saw you logged in several times without posting (out of character!) Giving a sfg garden is a gift that keeps on giving-I look forward to seeing the pictures. veggie fun
