Oh how I love my husband (advice on broke flowers)

but wish he would be more careful.

He was stacking landscape timbers and some fell... onto my newly purchased hollyhock, foxglove, and delphinium i was going to plant. Broke all the stems at the base.

Do I still plant? So I take the bulb out and dry it? I'm new at flowers as you can tell

Oh dear! You seem much calmer than I would be about this

None of these plants grow from bulbs, they are all propagated by seed so I don't advise trying to dry them out.

Either leave them in the pots a bit longer (week or two) and see if they throw up shoots or else plant them out and mark where they are so that even if they don't grow back this summer you can see if they grow next spring. The foxglove is a biennial so I don't know if it will grow next year assuming it is already a year old. The hollyhocks and delphinium have some chance of growing back I think. Worth a shot as they will all be so pretty if they do grow. Hope it works out.
