Rain -- finally!

Post  Retired Member 1 on 6/27/2010, 7:47 pm

Rain, rain, glorious rain!

About a quarter inch of the wonderful wet stuff has fallen so far and more is promised for tonight and tomorrow. I can already see my gardens perking up. I think I hear them singing the "Alleluia chorus" but that might be the crickets. At any rate I'm singing and dancing for glee.

If I could, I would send you some of our rain belfrybat! We have been getting so much lately, I rarely have to water. Some of my plants have taken issue with all the precipitation and died on me. Lost 4 watermelon seedlings.

Thanks, guys. Sorry Blackrose that you have had too much. We have had way too little for way too long. 1-1/2" overnight and another 1-2" is forecast for today. So far it hasn't been heavy enough to wash away the grass seed I put out last week -- just nice and steady. Perfect for the gardens and fruit trees.
