JoAnn Fabrics Sale

JoAnn Fabrics is having a 70% off summer sale. Last night I bought a $30 trellis for $8!! There were also a lot of pots and garden rail boxes. If you have one near you, it might be worth checking out. They had a fairly good selection of hand-held garden tools, too.

I went to the one close to work at lunch and got 2 hanging baskets, 2 window boxes, and a double-hooked shepherds hook. $100 worth of merchandise for $30!! This store is much bigger than the one near my home and had a much better selection. Ooooh, I'm giddy!! I've been wanting to replace my very old window boxes for quite some time. Yippie!

I haven't been to a JoAnn Fabrics in ages. They are carrying....gardening materials now???? Shocked Do they still have fabric?

I just LOVE JoAnn Fabrics!!! I would head over there, but all my discretionary budget this week has to go to travel. I'm going to the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival and will be depending on my grandson again to keep things watered. This time, though, he'll have some tomatoes to eat! The stupice is starting to ripen (I ate one the other day - it was only six bites worth, but so good... though it's not the tomato that I'm really LOOKING for - one that reminds me of grandpa's garden).

My JoAnn store is about 1/3 fabrics, 1/3 crafts, and 1/3 seasonal - which is garden stuff now, but will be replaced with Halloween decor as this sells out.

My sister used to work in JoAnn's HR department in Ohio. It's not your mother's fabric store anymore. :|
