Mystery pepper plant.

Post  The Cat's Other Mother on 7/17/2010, 10:21 am

I'm sure I must have known what this pepper plant was when I bought it, but I can't remember or find the little plastic tag. It's producing lots of lovely peppers, though. What are they, and should I wait for them to turn red before picking?

Your mystery peppers might be Sunbell Hybrid. Here's a link with a good description. They turn red when fully mature, but you can eat them now, just like green peppers. They look like they would have a mild taste at any stage!

It does look like a Sunbell to me, or something similar. I think I'll try cooking that large one with my eggplant and some onion.
