Honey Very Happy
Great job! - (sadly no interest in canning here); but back in our homeschool days, there were mostly Blue-ribbons for our entries. - Yum! that Honey, do you have enough to sell any? - You should win!! flower

There is not a stained glass category in crafts. There is a holiday ornament category and I am putting in a small group of those. No other crafts this year.

We attended the Royal Welsh show two weeks ago and boy were the entries in the comps strict in their rules ... every label had to be at set heights for differing produce, they had to be parallel to the horizon , lid tops if printed had to be readable when looked at from the label , jars , lids polished and such .
I was amazed at the presentation stands they all complied with the rules but some were much better than others ... those folk at the show take their veg etc very seriously .

The honey section had hundreds of entries including a perfect tablets of bees wax

These are some picture I took before the camera battery died on me.

Wow, those first prize carrots are perfect! They look just like the seed pack photo's you always see. That middle first prize carrot is next to perfect in my opinion

WOW! Plantoid, beautiful carrots! carrot
Welsh Honey Judging is the ultimate standard in honey competition. OH and the Welsh Honey Judges require a strenuous certification and the judging rules are VERY strict....... it is such a challenge, whether exhibiting in vegetables or honey, to strive for incredibly high standards in displaying ones harvest and to be at the mercy of nature.... so many things can go wrong and leave one gutted. But if you win, oh man, what a feeling!

Nice, Camp.  Makes me think what I could put in our Fall Fair.  I have never put in anything except once when I entered a patchwork hand-sewn cushion and got third prize. Three entries. Very Happy

Now I go to the Fair and see what has been entered in the veggie and flowers section and sometimes think I could have won a small prize if I had entered something.  I must look out for the info in the local paper.  Out Fall Fair is held in September sometime.
