LOOKING FOR - Canned Pepper Rings Recipe
Anyone have one? I just had a huge hot pepper picking and banana pepper picking. I'd like to make some, but not quite sure the ratio of stuff to use. I'm looking for something along the lines of stuff you'd find in the grocery store.
I don't have a heck of a lot, but if it's a recipe I can scale down to maybe three jars that'd be awesome!
Danke!

Re: LOOKING FOR - Canned Pepper Rings Recipe
Do you have Ball's Blue Book? There are numerous recipes in there for peppers, hot one's pickled ones, relish and hot pepper jelly, etc. Cut the peppers as desired.

Re: LOOKING FOR - Canned Pepper Rings Recipe
Sorry for the late reply, I've seem to have gotten a life all of a sudden. BOO.
A mix of hot and mild pepper rings. I don't have enough of either to make a decent batch so I'm going to mix them. I've already checked out Ball's site because I purchased their 3 jar home canning system but they didn't have a recipe on there for what I was looking for.
I just want to make rings, like the ones you would buy in the grocery store and add to pasta salad's. All I need is a start and I can go from there, but I just haven't had the time to do a full out search online, and here I can get an email to check out replies so I don't forget =)

Ah...so you want to pack some pickled peppers, but don't have a quite peck? (Sorry, could not resist!).
You can pickle just about anything, but what you are looking for is something like pepperoncini (Italian-style pickled peppers). I think if you do a Goggle search for that you'll find a recipe. They a really very basic pickles, main ingredients are peppers and garlic.
Ball's Blue Book has a couple of pickled pepper recipes, if you have the book.
Good recipe here: http://walnutspinney.blogspot.com/2008/09/pickled-pepperoncini-peppers-or-hot.html
Here's a good resource with lots of illustrations: http://www.pickyourown.org//pepperspickled.htm

Re: LOOKING FOR - Canned Pepper Rings Recipe
I came up with this one with a Yahoo search on "pickled pepper rings recipe"
Or this one looks really easy. It says you can mix sweet and hot, if you want, since you say you don't have a LOT of peppers.
Let us know what you end up doing, and how it turns out! (I'm waiting for my peppers to ripen... almost there!)
