I'm hooked on SFG

Post  dixie on 10/20/2010, 9:50 am

My first SFG has been a huge success & I have enjoyed it so very much, almost as much as the forum itself. I've met so many new "friends". I have gardened for 40+ years, done some some wide row gardening & had read about Mel way back when he first started SFG, but this is the first time I did it (or probably anything in general) by the book. I was fortunate enough to find local composted cow manure through Craig's List & I think that was a huge part of my success since I've read of so many people not pleased with their results or trouble finding different compost.

Regardless, I've a been like a kid in a toy store. Since it is just a few steps from my front porch, I've been able to really enjoy it. I'll be typing a report, get up in Dr's mid sentence & walk out side just to look at it, usually several times a day. That possibly could be the reason I have to work til bedtime lots of nights.

Anyway, thank you Mel, thank all of you great people here for the advice & willingness to share what you have learned.

The journey:

Hey Dix:

Great photos! Beautiful family (love the photo of the girls with the tomato - what obvious pride).

Blessings,
Kim
