I opened my Gardening How-to and who should be featured but Josh! I didn't even know there was a JMG program! None in my area for my grandkids but maybe I will have to try to get one going!

Thanks everyone!
Check with your county extension office to find out about the JMG program, it is connected with the 4-H. Very Happy

Closest one is about half hour away and only takes kids in that county! not many in Iowa. But I am a Master Gardener so maybe I can do something about getting one. I am going to do some research into it.

Maybe your local 4H would be willing to finance your effort, glittermomma? I'm going to contact the 4H tomorrow! Smile

I doubt it. We are fighting to keep an extension office in our county! ISU is our sponsor college and they are cutting the offices around the state!! The county even voted to have a property tax to help! If the extension office goes then we lose our 4H also....it is not a good economical department for them I guess! I don't know all the politics about it.

But I am going to contact them tomorrow and at least look into it.
