Hello Guest!
Welcome to the official Square Foot Gardening Forum.
There's lots to learn here by reading as a guest. However, if you become a member (it's free, ad free and spam-free) you'll have access to our large vermiculite databases, our seed exchange spreadsheets, Mel's Mix calculator, and many more members' pictures in the Gallery. Enjoy.

ok. I played with both for a while.
I would choose FlashVortex if it had to be changed
It gave more search results than the 2nd one.

I guess the only thing I didn't like to begin with is that the new search tools took you away from SFG forum completely. But of course after you click on one of the search results it would bring you back here. And I didn't think about the fact that if you didn't like the search results , you could just click the browsers back button to return to sfg forum instead of hunting it down again in favorites list.

Carolyn, the reason the FV search gives more results is because it's pulling stuff that DOESN'T come from this forum...

The new search box returns *exactly* the same results as searching the site in Google...which means it's functioning true to Google's search algorithms, and isn't up to something dodgy, which I still suspect is the case with FlashVortex.
