Hello from Naples FL

Post  MarcusB on 1/25/2011, 9:42 am

Hello all, Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm totally new to SFG, but am very excited and determined! Smile At this point I'm in the stage of finding the best price for 4 Cu' bags of Vermiculite and also, trying to encourage the local Lowes to carry both the Vermiculite and the Mel's Mix. Years ago, back in Britain, I used to have a traditional veggie garden, but have been very discouraged by the pitiful soil down here - what a thrill to 'discover' SFG and know that all sorts of things are possible!! SmileSmile

Take care.
Cheers, Marcus

Once up and running, you should fall in love with the ease of gardening SFG creates for you.

I would love the length of growing season you have down there. Welcome aboard, and don't only tell us how things are going....show us with some pictures. However, if I see a garden of lettuce/tomatoes with palm trees and ocean in the background, I may just start to cry...lol.

hi Marcus,
welcome. I have some extra course vermiculite I could sell you cheap if you can't find any and I don't live too far from you.

Howdy MarcusB:

Welcome to the SFG family and forum. We are a diverse group of gardeners and come from all walks of life. Some of us have gardened all of our lives in on form or another and "came to the light" of SFGing. Others have never-ever put a seed in the ground before and are just 'head over heals' in love with the easiest way to garden ever invented. So welcome and please post often.

God Bless, Ward and Mary.
