Lidl, 17 February -- Gardening Goodies!
European gardeners, now's the time to find your nearest Lidl --
My newsletter today says that their first Gardening Tools day here in France is coming up on 17 February -- the actual items and prices may vary by location, but here's my list:
Mini greenhouse (walk-in height with shelves) - 49,99
Mini greenhouse (big enough to cover a 1,3 x 0,9 SFG) - 22,99
(I have this one, and it stood up to 15cm of snow)
Forcing tunnel (mini hoops with a sheet of plastic - looks to be 2 squares wide) -- 5,99
Heated sprouting tray (for starting seeds) 24,99
Starting trays with small lids (set of 4) -- 5,99
Window boxes 5,99
Folding trellis 16,99
They've also got round flour pots, flower arches, mud boots, and gardening books listed.
www.lidl.com -- then choose your country (lidl.fr -- lidl.be -- lidl.de -- lidl.co.uk -- lidl.ie -- lidl.fi -- did I miss anyone?)
Sorry, Icemaiden, looks like they don't have any stores on Iceland, but maybe someone's coming to visit who could bring you something!
They might be bringing these items to you a different week, but I've noticed in my travels around Europe that they seem to be fairly close to one another.
And seeds -- they've already put the rounders in my store containing lots and lots of veggie seeds -- lots of choices of veggies, flowers, and herbs.

Re: Lidl, 17 February -- Gardening Goodies!
Hi Lafee, thanks for the heads up! I've been waiting for those items to come back at Lidl... I missed them last year, and I've been looking out for that minigreenhouse ever since. If it's the same as last year, it's the exact right size for my largest sfg...
Unfortunately, the specials at Lidl aren't the same in all regions...here in Holland I think I'll have to wait a few more weeks. Suppose they'll choose the start of the gardening season (which is way later than when I start, but i'm just impatient
)
That mini-tunnel can come in very handy too...

I'm amazed!
LaFee, you really don't forget anyone! I like this forum!
I haven't been to my local Lidl for a while but I doubt they're selling any other gardening equipment than snow shovels at the moment.
But defenately gonna keep a watchful eye on their selection, whenever it reaches here...

Yike! lidl.nl just for Mirjam and Zephyros! (I knew I'd miss someone)
You can subscribe to their email newsletters as well, then you know about 2 weeks in advance what's coming.
I've been very pleased with the quality of everything I've bought...and the price is better than anywhere.
(I'm also starting to see the flyers coming out for Auchan and Carrefour and all the other hypermarches, too)
