Hello from Rye, CO

Post  clittle59 on 2/15/2011, 3:50 pm

We finally landed on our 70 acres in Rye, CO and are looking forward to getting our 9 square foot garden boxes going - got the wood this past weekend. Now waiting for warmer weather to get them together and on the ground. Still need to fence in our 25'x25' garden. Can't wait! Very Happy

Welcome to the group.
You'll really enjoy gardeing the SFG way, I'm sure.
This will be my 3rd spring and I love it and the family loves the fresh food and are always saying the flavor surpasses those bought in the grocery stores.
Welcome and keep us posted on your doings.
Add pictures when you can.

Welcome to the forum, clittle. This is our second year at SFG after many years of row gardening. We'll never go back to the old way.

As Quiltbea said, we love photos, and feel free to ask any questions.

glad you\'re here

Thanks!

Thanks for the warm wishes. I will definitely post photos once we get rolling. I used SFG many years back when we lived in NJ and had tremendouse success. Once we moved to CO, went to container gardening as we didn't have the space. But now that we do, watch out!

70 acres in Colorado, huh? What are doing with 70 acres? We have 40 acres here in Arizona that we raise goats on. They love to spend their days browsing around!! Have fun on your land! Smile
