Boysenberries

Post  Lindacol on Sat 19 Feb 2011, 2:16 pm

Anyone have experience growing thornless Boysenberries, particularly in So CA? Also were to get them localy(Inland Empire area) or to order them?

I love boysenberries and would like to try growing them. I have an idea of a place for them, probably not in my SFG bed.

I would like to here others exprience with them.

My grandparents had boysenberries in Torrance. Oh, the wonderful childhood memories! I think I'm going to have to have toast with boysenberry jam tomorrow morning (just found a place that sells it). We aren't the least bit settled at this point in our life and I love to dream about what I will plant if we settle in different climates...boysenberries are definitely one of those things I would love to grow if we end up somewhere they would like!
