We can plant a ton of things...let's get growing!
Asparagus Pea (Winged bean, Goa bean)
Sow in garden. Harvest from July.
Borage (Burrage, Bugloss)
Sow in garden. Harvest from July.
Broccoli
Grow in seed trays, plant out in 4-6 weeks. Harvest from July.
Cardoon
Grow in seed trays, plant out in 4-6 weeks. Harvest from January.
Carrot
Sow in the garden. Harvest from August.
Cauliflower
Grow in seed trays, plant out in 4-6 weeks. Harvest from September.
Celery
Grow in seed trays, plant out in 4-6 weeks. Harvest from September.
Chinese cabbage ( Wong Bok, Wong nga pak)
Sow in the garden. Harvest from July.
Chives
Sow in the garden. Harvest from July.
Climbing beans (Pole beans, Runner beans, Scarlet Runners)
Sow in the garden. Harvest from July.
Coriander (Cilnatro)
Sow in the garden. Harvest from June.
Dill
Sow in the garden. Harvest from July.
Dwarf beans (French beans, Bush beans)
Sow in the garden. Harvest from July.
French Tarragon
Plant cuttings or root division. Harvest from July.
Ginger
Plant pieces of fresh root showing signs of shoots. Start inside in pots. Harvest from November.
Globe Artichokes
Sow in the garden. Harvest from March.
Horseradish
Plant root pieces. Harvest from September.
Jerusalem Artichokes (Sunchoke)
Plant tubers 1.5" deep. Harvest from September.
Lemon Balm (Bee Balm)
Sow in the garden. Harvest from July.
Lettuce
Sow in the garden, or start in seed trays. Plant out in 4-6 weeks. Harvest from July.
Mint (Garden Mint)
Grow in trays and plant out or start from cuttings. Harvest from July.
Mizuna
Sow in the garden. Harvest from June.
Mustard Greens
Sow in the garden. Harvest from June.
Onion
Grow in seed trays and plant out in 4-6 weeks. Harvest from November.
Oregano
Sow in the garden or start in seed trays. Harvest from June.
Pak Choy
Sow in the garden. Harvest from June.
Peas
Sow in the garden. Harvest from July.
Potato
Plant tuber. Harvest from September.
Radish
Sow in the garden. Harvest from June.
Rhubarb
Plant pieces of rhizome or roots 3-4" deep. Harvest from 12 months.
Rocket (Arugula/Rucola)
Sow in the garden. Harvest from June.
Rosella (Queensland Jam Plant, Roselle)
Sow in the garden or start in seed trays. Harvest from October.
Rosemary
Plant cuttings. Harvest from 12 months.
Sage (Common Sage)
Sow in the garden. Harvest from 18 months.
Salsify (Vegetable oyster)
Sow in the garden. Harvest from August.
Shallots (Eschalots)
Plant small bulblets, with stem just showing above ground. Harvest from August.
Silverbeet (Swiss Chard or Mangold)
Sow in the garden. Harvest from July.
Spinach (English spinach)
Sow in the garden. Harvest from June.
Spring onions (Scallions, Bunching onions)
Sow in the garden. Harvest from July.
Sweet Marjoram (Knotted marjoram)
Grow in seed trays, plant out in 4-6 weeks. Harvest from July.
Turnip
Sow in the garden. Harvest from June.
