I got my AACC New Faculty packet today!
HOORAY! I received my New Faculty paperwork today. It's official, I'll be teaching SFG at Anne Arundel Community College in September!
Can't wait to implement some of the advice y'all gave me awhile back.
1. Bullwhip
2. Cattle Prod
3. Duct Tape
Oh wait, that's my babysitting survival pack. Guess it would also work for adult education too.

I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

It's official!
I went to the college today to sign tax forms, etc. As I said, my first Intro to Square Foot Gardening class will be in September . . .
. . . BUT they asked me if I'd consider teaching a 2-hour class THIS MAY called "Grow Your Food". Here's the description:
Discover the advantages of growing your own vegetables, herbs and fruits. Learn which foods grow well in this area and discuss container versus ground planting. Create a simple garden plan.
Of course I said YES!
Thanks everyone for all your support and well wishes. And thank you SFG Foundation for giving me the skills.

Look at that! Now you can get people interested while they still have time to do some growing this summer.
It's great to do your class in September, because then people will have some background info to begin next year, but sometimes their enthusiasm wanes between the time of the class and the time they can actually do something about it.
Congratulations and go get 'em.
