Trellis Problem

In 1990 when I first started SFGing the local nursery lady ordered me wire called Tomato Guard and here it is 21yrs later .....and its been moved several times around the yard with Sweet Peas and other plants on it besides tomatoes........

Dont know the wire companys name...but if the enough gardeners want it...it will be manufactured
So hopefully someone will know the steps to take........

Well, not sure if this is what you have, but it is called Tomato Guard and it looks like this is a distributor at least.

I am convinced thats the trellis wire I have its in a roll 4'x6' I must have ordered 2.rolls I will order some more and check back......

I do hope that will also help others with flimsy nylon trellis.....thanks again......Ruth

As a counterpoint, I used nylon-strung trellises last year (built just like in the All-New SFG book) and I loved it. They were strong enough for my heaviest plants. Many people here on the forum have used cattle panels or other wire trellis material like yours, though, and that seems to work very well, too. I think it comes down to personal preference and aesthetics. Does anyone else have thoughts on this?

Ordered 2 Galvanized Tomato Guard Wire from Blackhorse.com......will let you all know how is works out.....one of my friends is starting a childrens garden at a local school and I am sure this will help all of them too....tnx agn....Ruth

Product is from ATS in Anping, China

Blackhorse is a 3rd-tier distributor here in the states.

ATS services most of the box stores here in the US too.
