When you get unmeasurable satisfaction from "teaching the supermarket a lesson" by spending $300.00 & 40 hours on your first SFG box, because the price of tomatoes went up $.50/lb

Howdy Folks:

You know you are a Square Foot Gardener when you start out to teach a 45 minute intro to SFG class and 2.5 hours later you finally quit talking!

You drive by an open field and start mentally sizing it up to see how many poeple could be fed if it was planted with the SFG method....

Ain't that the truth although for me living in an urban setting and seeing all the lawns.......I just think......wow, if you changed half of that lawn to SFG you could feed your whole family and a few homeless people besides.

BTW. I love the shirt you are wearing. made a few of those tie-dyed shirts in my day. LOL!

....You hear that the Full Moon occuring on the Spring Equinox is also going to the be closest the moon has been to the earth in 18 years and run out to see how bright your garden is after 10PM.

Seriously, it was pretty bright last night, and at dark thirty last night some one was settin off huge fire works, I caught the last one exploding right next to a huge blood red moon. It was awesome, wish I had gotten a picture, but my phone does not take good night pictures, and I'm still not able to get online on my laptop so uploading is not an option either.

Date night becomes, a dinner and Lowes or tractor supply instead of a dinner and a movie, I just realized that on sat nights we now stop at lowes before going to dinner instead of dinner then a movie, we are to tired to stay up late for a movie due to the long days spent in the garden or greenhouse.

+1

Except for me it's afternoon nap for the kids and then the garden centre. The kids are so confused. They want to know when "craft time" turned into search for "Mel's Mix ingredients time". Little do they know that they will be out in the garden learning all summer. Twisted Evil

Or when you tell Hubby that you don't want flowers, jewelry, or a dinner out for anniversary, can I just go to the garden center?

When your son shows up with an extra box and says it's an early birthday present because your birthday is in July and he realizes it's past your primary planting season.

...when you have a specific category budgeted for SFG in QuickBooks.

Or a line item in your budgeting excel spreadsheet, and you gave up something from your book catergory because you know you will go over if not, and the library is for free after all!
