vermiculite

Do not ever, ever open a bag of vermiculite in swirling 25mph winds.
Gives a whole new meaning to "hazy conditions".

Good stuff. And, I wouldn't do it in subfreezing temps, either. Any moisture in there freezes into blocks of icemiculite...lol. And, it doesn't mix into MM well.

Too funny. I bought my vermiculite today for my backyard beds, and one of the guys loading my truck accidentally tore a bag as he was carrying it out. It was windy, and I was downwind....I yipped, spun, and squinched my eyes shut, but I still got whapped on the side of the face by it. (And yes, they gave me a fresh, unripped bag.)
