Fruits and Nuts

Post  Mtman1849 on 4/9/2011, 9:07 am

When I moved in my new house about six years ago I planted an orchard which include 2 apple trees a pear tree a peach tree a plumb tree a fig tree and several blackberry s. I also have 2 cherry trees of which one has gone to tree heaven. Everything in the orchard this year has bloomed out nicely and my 60,000 little employees all female and work for free have been very busy pollinating everything, I have even had a free migrant workers (orchard bees) helping out. So if i can win the war on squirrels this year I should have a good crop of various fruits. Here is a some pictures of my orchard.

I also planted two Chinese Chestnut trees at the same time and I am so excited that this will be the first year that the will have chestnut on them. In the photos the tree that is the farthest away was cut down by me with a weed-eater the same year it was planted and it has almost caught up with the bigger tree.
