shaded lettuce

Post  shannon1 on Sun Apr 10, 2011 6:43 am

Have any of you growing lettuce under a shade cloth in the south with success, or should I just wait until fall? In Mel's first book he did not recommend it but in the second he does, anyone know what changed his mind?

Check out this post on what is being done in the very hot and sunny Philippines to grow lettuce. They harvest and replant frequently.
