I am dumb. How can you tell if it is a first or last frost? Temperature?

OH! An excellent question!!! A first frost would be the first killing frost in autumn at the end of the growing season. Conversely, the last frost would be in the spring before the summer growing season. Very Happy
At least that is what I think it is.
