Dorothy's Garden April 2011 Phoenix

Post  dssawtelle on 4/13/2011, 10:51 pm

Finally found time to update my blog. Enjoying the vegetables and flowers in my garden. Have added more trees to my mini orchard. All this in the backyard (25 by 65 feet) and some in the front yard.

Dorothy's Garden April 2011 Phoenix

Post  dssawtelle on 4/13/2011, 11:04 pm

Have hugh artichoke plants that are finally producing. The garden is doing well. Harvested our first asparagus after waiting patiently for several years. Have increased the number of trees in my mini orchard. Expect to be eating peaches by the end of May. Phoenix is a great place to garden all year long.

I love the pictures! Makes me happy to see someone else doing alot of the things we want to in our yard down here in Az, and it actually working! Our friends and family think we are crazy for planting so many fruit trees so close together, or gardening in raised beds.

Your roses are absolutely lovely. I planted my first ones in the front yard this year and if they look 1/2 as nice as yours I'll be crazy happy!

Thanks for posting!

You have a beautiful garden. Thanks for sharing Smile I'm jealous of all the citrus you have.
