Soil Blockers: Getting the 2" squares assembled

Post  NHGardener on 4/16/2011, 5:23 pm

Is there a trick to screwing in the 3/4" attachments to the 2" soil blockers, if anyone here uses them? I can't get them tight enough to stay in place, they keep jostling around, and it doesn't look like there's anything you can do about it?

I screwed them in as much as I could to get the holes opened up a bit before trying to screw them on to the blocker. The holes are really tight because they haven't been used yet. It gets better the more you use them.

Thank you, Blackrose - wow, they sure are tight, seems like the screws are too big. I think what I might do until they calm down a little is add another washer to take up the space there.
