Spanky's 4X4 TT garden.

Post  spankyleatherlips on 4/23/2011, 11:39 am

I am working on salad bowl lettuce, spring onions, spinach, carrots, radishes and snap peas for my trellis. I planted chard, kale and some free Ozark strawberries. Do you think I should wedge a piece of thin board down into the soil 12 inches from the berries to keep the runners from spreading into the other section of the TT??? I wanted to plant the berries in a corner of my yard but I know my chickens would not SHARE THE STRAWBERRIES WITH ME!!!!!!

Since you will be in the garden frequently, you should be able to easily control those runners if you wish. You might want to let a few runners go, as long as they stay in their own area. Just make sure your scissors are sharp and clean.
