snow & carrots

Post  jbh29 on Tue 26 Apr 2011 - 20:01

I've been too busy to do much reading here lately but I had to share something about today. It snowed here most of the afternoon today and I found myself out in the snow transplanting sprouted carrots from my cups of vermiculite into my hoop houses! (I had planted a few squares right into my beds in the hoop houses, but the seeds started indoors in vermiculite sprouted quickly - seeds in bed not showing themselves yet...) I must have made a funny site - kneeling on the edge of the sfg with plastic covering my back and head while my lower legs and feet got snowed on! But hey, when the babies are ready... they're ready! Laughing Snow or not!

Snowed on outside, rained on inside.....been there, done that. Glad the technique is working out for you so far.
