How much peat moss?

Post  lavamom on Tue Mar 23, 2010 2:02 pm

I am confused about how much peat moss to buy. I need 5 cubic feet for the garden. Mel's book gives an example of buying one 3.9 cubic foot bale in order to have 8 cubic feet of peat moss, because it expands. So does this mean I need about a 2.5 foot bale?

yeh 2.5 should work, once it gets wet it pretty much doubles in size
