How much peat moss?

Post  lavamom on 3/23/2010, 2:02 pm

I am confused about how much peat moss to buy. I need 5 cubic feet for the garden. Mel's book gives an example of buying one 3.9 cubic foot bale in order to have 8 cubic feet of peat moss, because it expands. So does this mean I need about a 2.5 foot bale?
