Last Year's Boxes (Cedar) "First Timer"

Post  llang43 on 3/23/2010, 2:49 pm

I guess you really need that practice "first year" to see what "to do" and "not to do" in SFGing. I made my boxes the hard way. Didn't match up my corners right, had to reinforce them with some L brackets to hold it, but it worked!! I really like the ideas for making covers, so if you've done that keep sending in pics. I'm planning to try that too.
I only have pics of the boxes and some planting my son did, but this year 2010 I will have a load of growth pictures and harvest pictures for you. Thanks for all your cool ideas.

Good job!

The important thing is you plunged right in and made a start.
I'll bet your son enjoyed being a plantsman. Its wonderful for the young people to see new things growing, something they themselves planted.
Good luck this year and enjoy.

They look GREAT! And it's great your son is interested too! SFG makes a great family project, with quality family time spent together!
