call 911

Post  cabinfever on 4/28/2011, 12:37 pm

I bet my neighbors think I've gone over the edge. I started my very first compost bin 2 weeks ago in a 50 gallon garbage can, and now they see me outside in my winter coat watering and stirring my "garbage". I've asked my local grocery store to save me their old produce, and now I'm out there chopping and mixing. I'm starting to get funny looks! Now I've taken to rolling it around because it's getting pretty full. I hope I can fill it before they haul me away! thinking

call 911

Post  sherryeo on 4/28/2011, 4:23 pm

cabinfever,

At least you can take comfort in knowing that all of the members of this forum realize the truth - that what you're doing in your garden actually means you're highly intelligent and are trying to do something that's actually good for the environment!

But just in case, let us know when visiting hours are at the "hospital" and we'll come visit!

My brother has "trouble" with rabbits in his yard. Today he told me that he found their "toilet" and I was excited . . . RABBIT POO!

Don't think I'll be giving up the weird-o award in our family for awhile.

They're herbivores. You are free to use their offerings.

I would suggest making sure no one is looking before collecting, or you may end up with the straightjacket, too. Shocked

Hmmm... that would mean moose poop is good to use, too?!? MUCH easier to fill a bucket with moose droppings than teen tiny rabbit poop. LOL How about bear???

Ok, Tril, talk about the title of this topic- "call 911" - I'm afraid someone will be calling 911 for you when that bear starts chasing you!

You know you're a square foot gardener when - you're actually contemplating going out into the wilds to collect bear poop (and think it's a great idea)!

OMG...that's hilarious.....coffee poop or poop coffee.....either way....its...

Before I scared off the rabbits with repellent I went around picking up their poop too. Wife made me scrub with a nailbrush before I could come back in the house.
