Live Plants & frost tonight
Sigh. I ordered some live plants from http://www.chileplants.com/ and they came today! I've never ordered live plants before and I did not know what to expect, but I am determined to have eggplant this year! I am VERY impressed with their packaging. The plants look so good! I bought four eggplants (2 Ichiban Hybrids and 2 Rosa Biancas) and eight pepper plants (Poblano and and an early red). They were packaged in groups of six plants, just remove the tape and slide them out.

The bad news is we have a frost warning tonight and the next week's weather is going to be cool. I'm going to have to rig me up a small hoop house quick. Meanwhile there sitting on a sunny window sill. Well...it's not sunny today, but there's lots of light!

I'll give you updates on the eggplants -- be it good or bad news!

That website looks awesome!
I also mail-ordered plants for the first time. I got them from Lazy Ox Farm in Missouri. It's a family farm, they have great service, and the plants were carefully packaged as well (they looked just like your pics). They have other things besides tomatoes, chiles, and eggplants if you are interested. I wish I had more space in my plot to order more!
