Lowe's plastic recycling

On Lowe's FB page this morning:

"What have you been planting this year? Bring the old plastic plant trays, pots and tags to your local Garden Center to recycle as part of our initiative to reduce plastic waste."

Just an FYI that I thought should be shared here!

Thanks for the heads up! I've been stockpiling those things in my shed and I know I'll never use them but my township won't take them. I try very hard to recycle everything I possibly can, and I probably spend more time in Lowe's than any other store (that probably includes the grocery store!)

Hmm.. wonder if it's recycle and reuse. ie I wonder if they will give those away if I were to go in and ask. I could use some of the 4" pots for seed starting for the cool weather crops and of course for next year's seed starts!

I don't see why not... it never hurts to ask, anyway. Do you know any of the employees personally? That's helpful for many things. Wink
