Mini Pop Sweetcorn, how to grow it?

Post  Barkie on 5/17/2011, 10:17 am

I've bought a packet of Mini Pop Sweetcorn for baby cobs for stir frying and I'd like to pick your brains if you don't mind.

The packet says "Easy to grow anywhere in the garden", space 8" apart Shocked Does it mind being in a windy spot? Harvest is supposed to be before tassels appear unlike the usual sort.

How do you grow it or what do you think is my best bet?

I can fill a half 55 gallon barrel with MM 6" or more deep or I can save that for my beds and fill it with the garden compost and composted horse manure which I won't be using in my MM if, as the packet suggests, it isn't fussy. What do you think?
