my first harvest this week.

Post  quiltbea on 5/22/2011, 11:21 am

Hooray! I harvested some lettuce this week. We'll have it for supper tonite.
I cut down two heads to an inch above the soil and got a nice colander full.

Here's those nice green, fresh, leaves.

I sowed more radishes along one side of each of my cabbage plants today. The ones in the A-frame are coming along well but not edible size yet.

Congratulations on your first harvest. I know it was greatly anticipated.

My newly planted lettuce looks more like 4 leaf clover right now, but I can't wait till it gets edible size.
