I have a friend that lets me pick all the raspberries I want every summer.........I think I will be making raspberry cordial this year!

A friend taught me to make an elixir which is similar to a cordial. Easy peasy to make. Fill a jar (whatever size you're using) about 1/2 full with fresh fruit, cover the fruit with vodka (or cognac or brandy--more medicinal for coughs) then fill the rest of the way with honey. Let steep about 6-8 weeks. It gets smoother and smoother with time. My favorite is elderberries and I use it for cough and cold syrup-
