Yellow tomato plants,,,,should I worry?

Post  milaneyjane on 5/29/2011, 6:47 am

Last year I had some type of blight in my tomato plants by the end of the season. And of course that was in all of my boxes but the rest of the plants flourished. This year I added 5 types of compost to each of my boxes since they had settled several inches and I did plant tomato in the boxes again just a few weeks ago knowing the risk. My 16 romas planted in the boxes are starting to have an overall yellow tinge to the leaves in all the boxes. I can't imagine that it is from lack of nutrients with how it was ammended this spring. Any ideas? The romas that didn't make it in the boxes but are in the garden look great.

Oh dear. Sorry to hear this. Are you able to post a photo? Have you done any kind of special watering, feeding or treating?

milanyjane, what type of night time tempertures are you having now? It is still too cool for tomatoes to be unprotected in our cool rainy, foggy PNW.
