June: What to plant in N. California and Central Valley areas

Post  PNG_Grandma on 5/29/2011, 1:38 pm

Wow, are we heading into JUNE already??!! Here in the Modesto area of the Central Valley we're feeling almost like winter...this week we'll be back in the mid to high 60s, and low 70s...the seeds and new plants are wondering why we made them grow and stuck them out in the really cold and windy weather! However...here are the things we can plant for June, and yes they will grow, in spite of our weird weather!

Amaranth (also Love-lies-bleeding)
Plant in garden. Harvest from August
Angelica

Chives (also Garden chives)(for Chive Blossom Vinegar?!)okay

Dwarf beans (also French beans, Bush beans)

Pak Choy

Rockmelon (also Canteloupe)

Enjoy!
