Havin' Fun!

Post  laurainwinona on 5/29/2011, 6:47 pm

Finally, things are growing here in Winona! I harvested my radishes and planted cukes in one of the squares. I forgot to harden them off, so they're NOT happy, but I'm hoping they'll recover. Melons will go in the other, but I'm waiting for the starts to get a bit bigger and the temps to be steadier....and warmer! Harvested lots of spinach, too, and made a quiche out of it....a first for me! The kids hated it but I thought it was pretty good. My peas are growing visibly each day. I love watching them curl around the trellis, and each other and anything else within reach! I also planted my tomato, and, well, I'll save that for the Tomato Tuesday thread. Hope everyone else is having fun, too!

Sounds good! I'm jealous of your peas!! For some reason I didn't plant mine until Saturday, so I'm way behind. I think I'm done buying plants to go in my SFGs, but who knows, I could find something else "fun"! My beans and carrots are growing, so that's good.
