Compost Creatures

Post  corrermucho on 6/6/2011, 7:01 pm

My wife was turning our compost, which is in the garden, and little mice ran from the pile. Is this common/normal? If not, what can I do about this?

Huh. That's interesting because my newish compost pile is behind the shed, and my husband just told me the mouse population is getting so high in the shed that he can actually see them when he opens the shed door.

Ha ha!!!

As to the OP, if the compost pile was a bit wetter and turned weekly, that should help.
