Mammoth Melting Peas dying

Post  oxmyx1 on 6/7/2011, 3:42 pm

Hi experts! Before I found SFG, I started MM peas in an Earthbox (FORGIVE ME!) All were doing fine till yesterday (or maybe the day before, since i didn't check them) - two plants, one in the middle back row, one in middle front, just got wilty and leaf edges a little crispy and died. Today, the peas on either side of the kickthebuckets are much lighter green than their counterparts on the ends. I'm afraid I'm losing them too! I've been keeping the boxes' water rez full - it's getting warmer here (in the 80's at 8000 ft) but my other earth box pea box is fine.

Any ideas, anyone???? Can I stop the epidemic of who knows WHAT?????

Linda - cringing, biting nails, pleading with pea buddies not to succumb -

We might not know...you have a better climate that we do (and we like earthboxes, it's ok!) Try Backyard bird gardner or Farmer Val. They both garden closer to New Mexico. Best I can do is offer you a PNW hug (cold and wet but smells like coffee)

Good luck with your peas!
