I love kumquats. You eat the whole fruit, skin and all. I think it puts out very fragrant blossom the same as oranges. Treat is like any of the other citrus trees and find a nice sunny place in the house for the winter .

Thats a nice looking starter I would have been thrilled to find it. Mine grew very well in the yard but I also lived in Florida back then. It should be a fun thing for a while, good luck with it. I may go to Lowes just to see what odd bargains they have here.

Nice little kumquat! I've got a Meiwa myself, and I can't wait to taste it! It's going bonkers! I've had the others before, but not this one. It's supposed to have sweet skin! Shocked

I need to go to Lowes! Cool

OMG I'm so green with envy. I went looking for one earlier this year and could not find one that nice for under $40. I had one in a pot for a couple of years and loved eating them whole. Funny the peel is sweet and the fruit is tart. I had to give it away when I left the country for a month. I miss it so Sad . $2 gee wiz.
