Popsicle sticks..

Post  BackyardBirdGardner on 6/8/2011, 5:14 pm

WAY off topic here...

As a lot of you know, I cut grass for a living. I have been dying in 90+ heat this week, with heat indecies running as high as 104 for several hours of the day. My kids LOVE popsicles. So, put 2 and 2 together, and that's right......dad had his first popsicle in eons today.

You know what? I've had 4 more....lol. Great, cheap way to cool down.

And, when the wife asks why I'm eating so many, I reply, "I need more labels for the garden." HA...it's a win/win for me!

Have a great day, all!

Oh I know that feeling. Tonight I stopped along the road where a good sized sycamore limb was down on the curb. Wanted a few chunks to put on the lathe later. All I had was a hand bow saw and was it hot. After one cut I wanted to quit. After two cuts I needed to quit. After three cuts I had to quit and give this 70 year old body a rest. On the way home I treated my self to a DQ arctic breeze which is just a slushed up popsicle but it sure was a lifesaver.
