Garden pictures, June 11

Post  NHGardener on Sat 11 Jun 2011 - 8:19

Besides the photos I posted elsewhere on some tomato and green bean leaf issues, here's photos of the rest of the garden as of today:

Zoom out shot (those are my watering buckets, the tarp is killing weeds) (and probably breeding snakes!)

Tomatoes in back row, squash in front row:

Eggplants in front, beans & peas in back, a couple peppers thrown in just for fun:

Watermelons in front, cucumbers in next row, squash in next row, peas in rear:

Lettuce in front (not big - late planting), corn in last 3 rows:

Oops, only got parts of the last box, peppers in the middle 2 rows (lettuce was in the front row, didn't look any different from lettuce in last picture, my yellowish beans are in the rear row):

And one interesting note, the rear row of one box is all peas, the rear row of the next box is half peas. The whole row box has peas that are about 12" high. The partial row of peas are only about 4" high. I think the difference is that the rear row box gets filtered early sunlight that the partial row of peas does not get. That's all I can figure because they were planted at the same time:

And that's it for now!

Great photos! Interesting about the peas. The light difference does make sense.
