Trellising squash up a pole? Anyone had luck with doing this?

Post  jymarino on Thu 16 Jun 2011 - 7:27

I saw the video on training zucchini to go up a pole and it sounds like a very cool idea. I have one zucchini that is in a tom cage and am thinking of doing another one using this method. Have you had luck with this or another space saving techinique? Any advice is appreciated as always!

I saw a video like that too. I have no experience and I am not a fan of zucchini but I am giving it a go this summer. This is all the farther I have got.

None of them are in any of the boxes yet but I have intended to put a white cucumber to grow up a stake for a week or two now. We have had yet another cold spell in the PNW so I have been waiting.

Squash on poles

Post  MSJ on Thu 16 Jun 2011 - 11:22

Snibb posted pictures on April 7 and there were pictures of squash climbing poles. He was very willing to answer all my questions.
