A lettuce question

Post  harmerd on 6/16/2011, 10:50 am

This is the first time I planted lettuce and for whatever reason I planted three heads of Boston lettuce. Now I realize that that I should have planted leaf lettuce so that I can cut leaves off as needed and the plant will continue to grow and produce new leaves.

Can I cut the outer leaves of Boston head lettuce and still get it to produce leaves continuously or is it a one time harvest?

I would. You have three, use one of them to experiment.
