Video: Building a SFG

Post  timwardell on 3/29/2010, 4:29 pm

I built a new SFG over the weekend and took photos. Very Happy
When I tell people about SFG the number one comment I hear is, "Vegetables can't grow in only six inches of soil. Your beds HAVE to be deeper. It won't work otherwise." I get tired of hearing that especially since so many people around the country and around the world have had GREAT SUCCESS gardening with the SFG method. To finally put the critics to rest (particularly those in Texas who say the heat and humidity will kill the veggies), I built my newest SFG with a plywood bottom to show that YES veggies can and do grow and thrive in only 6" of Mel's Mix.
