South Carolina Newbie

Post  Buddy Harrison on 9/13/2011, 10:30 pm

I'm a retired, happily married father of three sons and two stepsons and
grandfather to fifteen grandchildren and two more due by January 2012. I
play golf, fish, hunt and hope that gardening will soon be my new
passion. I presently live in the upstate of South Carolina; but will be moving within the next two months to my place of
birth, Camden County, North Carolina. That is where I intend to pursue my new hobby, gardening.
I've always wanted to do some raised bed gardening. While browsing YouTube videos; I saw videos about Square Foot Gardening and I instantly became interested in this concept. I watched numerous videos and eventually made my way to this site. This seems to be a gardening method that anyone can do. I will purchase the latest book so I will have a jump start into this amazing gardening technique.
I'm quite sure I'll be needing help from the members of this forum before I get proficient at gardening. So I'm thanking everyone in advance. I know there are many experts on this forum and everyone seems very willing to help.
Glad to be a member,
James (Buddy) Harrison

Welcome to the forum from Central Ohio. The All New Square Foot Gardening book is where all your basic information is obtained. It is very friendly reading and highly recommended! Enjoy!

Thanks for the friendly welcomes, I'll certainly be purchasing The All New Square Foot Gardening book. The best plan is to start with the basics and grow from there.
Again, Thanks.
