Growing Spearmint Indoors
I used to have a potted mint plant outside on my deck for the summer. This is my first year growing mint. It was flourishing until a freak bout of snow flurries (Oy! Idaho weather! Amiright?) came and nearly killed the plant so I moved it indoors. I have it in a relatively sunny area, but when I cut some for use, the plant grows back with only twigs, and no leaves. Does it need more sun, or is it a temperature thing? Will a grow light work if it needs more sun? And do you have any recommendations for a specific grow light?

It may do better if you just harvest by a trim of the stems and leaves and put the plant in the ground, in the pot or out of the pot. It will winter over and grow more abundant next season. I found this write up about keeping mint indoors through the cold season. Good luck.
